Side Kick
A side kick is a powerful "pushing" kick. The impact point will be your heel.

With your side to your attacker, keeping your foot close to your other leg as you bring you knee up to your hip.

Snap your foot out straight from your hip.

The foot should be parallel to the floor, even better to have the heel above the toes. This is one of the easiest kicks to break a board with in Taekwondo.

This kick delivered to the knee at almost any angle: front, side or back of knee, would be effective in disabling your attacker at least long enough to run.
